After you have turned off or stopped the source of flooding the second thing you immediately need to do is make sure that all electricity is turned off at the breaker box, and make sure all electrical appliances or extension cords are placed safely above the wet ground. Look out for sharp or broken objects on the floor, and any objects that you could trip over to ensure the structural safety of your home. Areas that have been exposed to sewage should be thoroughly washed down with a solution of household bleach and water whether wet or not. We recommend  that you use 25% bleach to water solution.
